Women's Weekend Away

20 women from Harvest Church went to St. Cuthman’s Retreat Centre, near Horsham, 30.9.-2.10.2011.

We wanted to get away from job and family responsibilities, to make time for God and each other. The beautiful surroundings helped us to relax, so did the wonderful food cooked for us. We looked at how we can develop our friendship with God and with each other using Bible study, times of stillness, prayer, telling of life stories, and creative tools. There was an atmosphere of honesty which enabled people to be real and connect with each other. There was also much chatting, laughter, walks round the lake, and cream teas in the garden, to help make this a special weekend. Definitely something to be repeated!
